Chino Hills is a suburb located in the southwestern corner of the Inland Empire region of San Bernardino county and is easily accessed via The Chino Valley Freeway (Hwy 71). The city borders Los Angeles County on its northwest side, Orange County to its south, and Riverside County to its southeast making it centrally located to all Southern California employment centers and attractions. The city had a total population of 80,897 as of 2005.
Chino Hills is home to the Vellano Country Club, a private golf course and housing development designed by golf champion Greg Norman. Chino Hills is also the location of The Shoppes at Chino Hills. The mall features upscale stores and restaurants, and is adjacent to the Chino Hills Government Center and Library.

Butterfield Ranch
Butterfield Ranch is located at the extreme southern end of Chino Hills at Hwy 71 and Butterfield Ranch Road and is a great neighborhod for commuters, located within minutes of Orange County. Butterfield Ranch is comprised of single family homes and condos of varying sizes ranging from approximately 1000sf up to approximately 2700sf . Condo prices vary from the high $190,000's to the mid $300,000's and SFR prices vary from the high $200,000's to the mid $500,000s. The local Butterfield Ranch Elementary is located at 6350 Mystic Canyon Drive, Chino Hills and is a very well regarded school with a 2009 API score of 913. The neighborhood has a number of parks including Butterfield Ranch Park and Mystic Canyon Park and trails for hiking.
Fairfield Ranch

Fairfield Ranch is located on the eastern border of Chino Hills off Soquel Canyon just east of the 71 freeway. Fairfield Ranch consists of over 700 single family home that were built from 1999 to 2001. Homes range in size from 1400sf to over 2600sf and vary in price from the mid $300,000's to the high $400,000's. The homes in this area of Chino Hills are desireable to buyers because they are newer construction. Fairfield Ranch is also the location of Big League Dreams, Fairfield Ranch Park, Danbury Park and a skate park making Fairfield Ranch a perfect neighborhood for young families.
Alterra
Alterra is located west of Butterfield Ranch Road off Soquel Canyon and Slate. This area was developed in the 1990's and features large single family homes on good sized lots. Homes range in size from 1500sf to 3300sf and vary in price from the high $300,000's to the mid $600,000's. This neighborhood is anchored by Alterra Park and is gateway to Chino Hills State Park which is located off Elinvar Drive.
Hunters Hill

Pinehurst Hills
Pinehurst Hills is a neighborhood of large executive homes located in the hills above Butterfield Ranch Road in the southern section of Chino Hills. Developed in 2001, many of these homes have good sized lots and commanding views of the Chino Valley.
Village Oaks
Village Oaks is located in the hills of central Chino Hills west of Peyton Drive south of Chino Hills Parkway. The neighborhood was developed in the 1980's-90's and is comprised of single family homes, townhomes and appartments. Village Oaks is a very desireable location in the city for families with school aged children due to the award winning Oak Ridge Elementary School.
Summit Ranch
Summit Ranch is an equestrian community of over 350 homes located in the hills of the Carbon Canyon section of Chino Hills. Homes in this community were built from 1979 and completed in 1987. There are approximately 12 different floorplans with homes ranging in size from 1675sf up to 2665sf.
